La salle Thélème

The “Thélème” conference hall of the University of Tours was built in 1971 and entirely renovated in 2021 (https://culture.univ-tours.fr/location-de-la-salle-theleme). It is located in the centre of Tours, on the Tanneurs site of the University, by the banks of the Loire River.

Thélème hosts various events all year round, ranging from scientific lectures and symposia to artistic performances

Precautionary measures - Covid-19

A valid Health pass (proof of vaccination / negative PCR or antigenic test done in the last 72 hours) is necessary to access the symposium. Distanciation measures (1 m separation) and wearing a mask at all time are compulsory and will be reinforced.

The “Thélème” conference hall complies with health regulations and allows in this circumstance to welcome up to 400 persons (expected number of attendees about 200).

Accomodation for student

Student may contact the CROUS of Tours (https://www.crous-orleans-tours.fr/logements/nos-residences/) to enquire for accomodation avaibilities. Only very few rooms are still available.

From Paris: Gare Montparnasse to Gare de Tours (TGV -1 h 20 min)

From railway station St Pierre des Corps:

1- Shuttle (Navette), Gare de Tours direction (~2min) and Tram lane A, Vaucanson direction, Porte de Loire stop (15min)

2- Bus lane 11, Mareuil direction, Ile Simon stop (~25min)                

From A10 motorway: Exit 21 Tours Centre è G. Pompidou Av.è «Carrefour des Français libres» roundabout è left on A. Malraux Av. è A. France Pl. è Tanneurs St. (7min)
